What to check before instructing someone

1. Verify the professional’s registration through the relevant chamber or bar. Ask which individual will be responsible for the work.
2. Confirm experience with your nationality/status, the current Article 20/D rules and your income type.
3. Request a written scope, deliverables, fee basis, taxes, exclusions and timeline. Identify work that requires another professional.
4. Ask for written reasoning and sources for material tax or immigration conclusions. Distinguish a likely view from an authority’s decision.
5. Use a secure document channel and a limited, purpose-specific power of attorney where needed. Keep your own banking and official-portal credentials.
6. Clarify ongoing filing responsibility, notice monitoring, document retention and how the engagement can end.

How future listings will be presented
